Komodo Diving

Komodo Diving

During Archipelago Komodo cruises aboard the Adventurer II luxury liveaboard, divers aboard get the chance to experience the magical Komodo diving in the National Park and in some cases the volcanic islands of Sangeang.

Departing out of Bima or Labuan Bajo, the closest two ports to the Komodo and Rinca islands, Archipelago Komodo cruises allow divers more time diving Komodo, within the world renowned Komodo National Park. As the itineraries depart close to Komodo, rather than from Bali the Komodo cruises gain an entire day diving Komodo, as some other Komodo liveaboards choose to do. This is further evidence of Archipelago's dedication to offer a diver focussed experiences on board.

Komodo Cruises; Land Excursions

However exciting the diving Komodo National Park can offer, the region is about much more than diving Komodo alone. Archipelago recognises this by arranging several land excursions during cruise itineraries. All trips also include a visit to the ranger station and an early morning walk to hunt for the islands most famous inhabitants, the Komodo Dragon, these huge beasts are generic to Komodo and Rinca islands alone, having been marooned on the islands due to their location and the waters around them.

The Archipelago Expeditions land excursions during the Komodo cruises, are guided by the rangers of the of the Komodo Park, who will be happy to point out the Komodo Dragons and in addition, deer, wild boar, some of Indonesia's elusive snakes and insects. Divers are then encouraged to purchase a string or two of the local pearls, wooden masks or other carved memorabelia, offered by the villages market near to the ranger station. Komodo cruises aboard the Adventurer II aim to give back to the region, a fair exchange for the incredible Komodo diving these islands offer to adventurous travellers.
